Easton Park at the end of Porter Avenue is the largest single-family development which, when completed, will have 346 homes.
The Lubeznik Center for the Arts will host its opening reception at 101 W. 2nd St. in Michigan City for "Warhol: Icon & Influence" from 5 to 8 p.m. July 6. The free First Friday event will give people the chance to chat with artists influenced by Warhol whose work is displayed as part of the exhibit.
Chesterton celebrated the opening of the Easton Park subdivision recently with a ribbon cutting ceremony and reception. A large crowd of well-wishers gathered to help Eric Gastevich, Principal of ATG Real Estate Development LLC officially introduce Easton Park to the Duneland communities.
Porter County, with its close proximity to Lake Michigan and public transportation for quick access to Chicago, is seeing a boom in real estate developments.
According to statistics released by GNIAR, Porter County’s year-to-date growth from Jan. 1, 2016 – Feb. 29, 2016 to Jan. 1, 2017 – Feb. 28, 2017, showed an increase in the number of units sold of 3.7 percent and an increase in the median selling price of units sold of 5.9 percent.
